SOUS CHEF REQUIRED – 5* LODGE IN LIMPOPO
SALARY: NEGOTIABLE DoE
The Sous Chef is responsible for planning and directing food preparation in the kitchen. This will involve supervising kitchen staff, as well as keeping an eye out for issues that might arise in the kitchen and taking control of the situation.
Key Focus Areas:
Be fully responsible for the smooth operation of all
administrative duties in the kitchen department whilst the
Executive chef is away;
This includes ordering of stock, menus, emails, invoicing as
well as staff management in line with the code of conduct
and disciplinary code;
Preparation and portioning food, monitoring quality of
dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation;
Check the cleanliness and operation of all kitchen
equipment as well as all areas before production runs.
Need to comply with OHSA regulations;
Employee Management: ensure that staffing levels are
correct in conjunction with the General Manager and to
Review work procedures and operational problems.

Ensuring special dietaries are cared for and noted;
Able to perform under pressure with a high sense of
Working long hours;
Passionate about guest satisfaction;
Constant endeavour to improve qualifications and skills
through mentorship and training;
A thirst to be better than yesterday.
Requirements – Qualifications and Skills:
At least three years’ experience as a Sous Chef;
Need to be able to take charge of the kitchen as per job description;
Need to be fluent in English;
Need to be presentable and well spoken.
