Head Chef needed for a unique coastal restaurant – Western Cape (live out position)
This position is ideal for a hands on chef with a passion for cooking and who would like to settle down in a small, coastal town.
The Head Chef will be responsible for full management of the kitchen which will include ordering of stock, wastage control, hygiene maintenance, portion and quality control, as well as, costing to ensure that an excellent quality product is delivered to the patrons.
Menu planning and catering for special functions will also be required.
The candidate must be flexible and be able to manage kitchen staff well, to ensure a pleasant working environment. He/She should be able to handle large volumes a la carte / buffet service.
The incumbent must have solid experience with a proven, reliable work record ideally within Restaurants and Tourist Activities.
Salary R15,000 negotiable , as well as a performance based bonus payable after 12 months service.
