Our client, a 5* lodge within the Kruger is looking for the following couple.
Unfortunately the lodge can’t accommodate children or pets
1) Guide or Maintenance person
Qualified Level 1 guide with minimum back-up trails
Police competency (white card)
Must be hard working and have a positive attitude. The lodge is a busy lodge and the person may work a full 6 week cycle driving every day. Should the lodge be quiet then guides help where needed from maintenance at the lodge to road maintenance and bush clearing.
This is very much a team lodge and you must be willing to work with the rest of the guiding team as well as trackers.
You do not host or sit with guests every evening, however you will need to seat your guests for dinner, and every 3rd night or so host with a lodge member.
Depending on Experience/ qualifications R5500 – R7000, plus meals, live-in, uniform, laundry and gratuities
Back ground in general maintenance
Experience on working on Landover’s – advantageous
This person must be willing to oversee a small maintenance team at the lodge, and must be willing to get your hands dirty and get stuck in and work with the rest of the team. You will be onsite so should the need arise you must be willing to help with maintenance issues that may arise at any time. Also assist with set up of bush dinners or as directed by management any other set ups or town trips.
There is a fleet of 6 land rover defenders and one Toyota, which basic maintenance and preventative maintenance need to be done.

2) Senior Front of house person
Previous front of house experience of at least 2 years
Word and excel knowledge
Res request booking system – advantageous but not essential
This position is a varied position and you will be required to be very customer focused. You will be responsible for check-in and check-out of guests, room checks and management of the house keeping team. You will be required to provide the rest of the lodge with information of the daily arrivals and departure and make sure that all departments know what is happening. You will also be required to do stock takes, ordering of stock, putting stock into the stock systems.
You must have a head for figures and be able to look at financials, you must also be able to problem solve and find viable solutions on anything that may crop up. Creativity is also an advantage.
You must not be a clock watcher and you must be willing to help in all areas of the lodge.
A positive attitude is a must.
Depending on experience/ qualifications R 6000 – R8000, plus meals, live-in, uniform, laundry and gratuities.
The accommodation available is a double room with en-suite shower and toilet and is furnished.
The staff accommodation is not suitable for children or pets.
